How to Listen:

We recommend VLC media player, it will play anything!

Download Winamp 5.08 or better to get aacPlus v2 Stereo and Surround Sound.

Download Realplayer it plays AAC+.

IMPORTANT: You must install the Orban plug-in before you can listen to aacPlus in your Windows Media Player.

If one server is full, try another!

Orban provides a support email address you can contact from their main plug-in page to clarify any install and use questions.

Note that the Orban plug-in does not yet support 5.1 surround.

TRY OUR ACTIVE X PLAYER
If you don't want to download Winamp or the Windows Media plug in, try our Active X stand alone player. It will prompt you to download a tiny Active X component, it's totally safe, just say yes.

If you have a pop up blocker, you must disable it so the window can come up. If you have Zone Alarm, you may have to X out the player and pop it back up.

Avoid the Winamp surround sound gotchas by making sure:

  • that Winamp is configured to use DirectSound, not wavOut (should only be critical for 5.1)
  • your sound card DirectSound driver actually supports 5.1 output. Cards may require that you check
  • the 'Allow h/w Acceleration' box in Winamp (e.g. Audigy 2 ZS)
  • you aren't using the mp3PRO plug-in decoder from Thomson (you may have to manually delete it)
  • Winamp owns the .m3u and .pls playlist formats (iTunes and Windows Media Player can be greedy for these types)
  • Windows Media Player is not set to play as a toolbar inside the IE browser
  • please visit the Winamp support forums if things are still going awry.

If you have the mp3PRO Plug-in installed for Winamp, it must be un-installed or disabled
to receive AAC+
